INFORMATION SHEET FOR PARENT AND CHILD PERFORMANCE
As in previous years, we are offering parents/adult carers the opportunity to perform with their children. This is an amazing experience to share with your child. It is not about the performance. It is all about creating wonderful memories for you and your child to share. It is about spending the time together. It is not about the dance. I love working with the bond between parent and child. Such a special privilege.
We are dancing to the beautiful song “How Long Will I Love You?” by Ellie Goulding. There is a link to the song below. It is absolutely beautiful. You may recognise it from Children in Need.

“But I can’t dance!” Is a shriek I often hear from parents when talking about this. Parents are reassured once they realise that I work with their strengths. It is a fun couple of days with your child and a lovely experience to share. I make the choreography completely pedestrian (natural movement).
The dates are Sunday 1st and Sunday 8th June and are kindly hosted by Oakhurst Community Primary School. The times are 10.00 – 2.00 each day. The total cost for the whole project is £20.00 per family.
If you can’t make both days, that’s fine. It’s ideal but not essential.
The idea is to create the dance piece and then perform it at our Steam performance (Be The Star That You Are 2014) on Sunday 15th June. There are two performances on that day but you will only perform at one of the performances (the same performance that your child will perform at).

I love making these pieces, they are always well received and always concentrate on the bond between parent and child. I promise you, you’ll love it!
