Using our unique and inclusive approach to working with young people we also offer workshops in schools both to teachers as part of a CPD programme and directly to students. The kinds of packages we can put together for you include…..

Words Club

Immersive Learning One Off

A one off (half or whole day) workshops to inspire learners at key points in a scheme of work, either subject-specific or cross-curricular to generate confidence and enthusiasm at the start of a project (e.g introducing a new play, poem or book in English); to reinforce/deepen key knowledge and understanding partway through a topic (e.g key events, places and people in Humanities); to celebrate learning through a creative response at the end of a scheme of work (e.g a creative presentation to complete a STEM project).

Immersive Learning Ongoing

A series of regular workshops to support Learners who may benefit from drama techniques to help them access the curriculum, running regularly alongside an existing scheme of work e.g working with a pre-selected group for an hour each week, for a whole term.

Aimed at any key stage (differentiated accordingly) our ‘Shakespeare Daze’ workshop is an immersive three hour session for up to 30 young people (ran with a break midway) exploring the world of the Bard and why his work is still so relevant today. Aimed at getting the young people excited and stimulated by the words, themes, stories and characters the sessions without fail leave the participants animated and keen to dive into the world as Shakespeare saw it. The session also includes an in-depth practical examination of a Shakespeare play of your choosing. Aimed at getting the young people excited and stimulated by the words, themes, stories and characters the sessions without fail leave the participants animated and keen to dive into the world as Shakespeare saw it. Wellbeing in young people

“20% of adolescents will experience mental health problems in any given year and 70% of children and adolescents who experience this have not received appropriate intervention at a sufficiently early enough phrase.”

Aimed at any key stage (with appropriate differentiation depending on age) this workshop using drama and active learning is aimed at exploring the young person’s own mental health – what is it? How can we have a ‘healthy’ mentality? How can we look after ourselves? How to recognise red flags in mental health and how to handle those situations and signposting where to go next. This workshop would be led by experienced arts practitioners – one of which is also a Qualified Counsellor (Dip therapeutic Counselling) and member of the BACP with specific experience in counselling young people.

After school enrichment

We can take the stress of hosting your performing arts after school club away by delivering it for you at no cost to the school. We will manage all admin, provide DBS checked, first-aid qualified leaders. This club will be funded by parents directly (we also accept childcare vouchers) and all young people will be given multiple performance opportunities throughout the year

School Play Delivery

We can manage, direct and deliver your school performances working with the teachers to make sure the needs of each individual student are met. Alternatively for we offer packages in which the school teachers still deliver the work but we support them through the process – therefore elevating a lot of the associated stress and pressure.

Delivered by a qualified teacher who understands the demands of the education system we can provide bespoke training to teachers on how to make specific areas of the curriculum delivery more active and engaging for all the learners.

Play In A Day or Play in a Week

Working with a specific group of pupils we can deliver work that uses performing arts to engage and allow them to find and share their story and their voice.

If you would like more information on any of the above or have a specific need you would like us to address please do drop our Artistic and Outreach Director an email at laura@revolutionpa.co.uk
