RPA and  RPA Rapport CIC present ‘Street Lights’ in association with Create Studios and Swindon Paint Fest on Saturday July 6th at 6.30pm at The Wyvern Theatre

Gala Event Premier of our film ‘Street Lights’ made in collaboration with Create Studios and Swindon Paint Fest. This joyous film shares the creative impact the murals and art works across our town centre have had on our young people. Each group takes inspiration from one of the artists and their work and performs their piece inspired by the art on the pavements in front of it – filmed, edited and collated by Create Studios this will be an evening to truly celebrate the art that is hidden round the corner and up the road. We will have activities taking place on the afternoon of the premier and the event will be a launch for this year’s festival as well as an opportunity for the actors and tech team behind the film to get all dressed up for this red-carpet event and celebrate the heritage and creativity in our town.

Please note that there may be a performance participation fee for this project depending on whether we manage to secure funding. The fee would be no more than £25 if we do not. All participants will be given a filming slot of approximately 2 hours somewhere in Swindon (depending on where the artwork is that they are performing with) on either Saturday 27th or Sunday 28th April or Saturday 11th or Sunday 12th May. Please let us or your leaders know if you would prefer us to avoid any specific date and we will try and meet your needs on this.
